KPJ Sabah illuminates in blue in support of all frontliners

In conjunction with Labour Day 2020 celebrated nationwide on 1 May 2020,  KPJ Sabah Specialist Hospital illuminated its hospital building in blue last night , as a symbolic act to show its gratitude to all essential workers.

“Being one of the essential businesses still in operation since the movement control order (MCO) was announced by our Prime MInister on 18 March 2020, we have witnessed the relentless dedication shown by front liners amid this challenging period.

“Our front liners are the heart of everything and they are our nation’s shining armour.  It goes well beyond this small gesture from us ,” said Miranda Harumal , Chief Executive Officer of KPJ Sabah Specialist Hospital.

“Our building will be lighted in blue every night until 3rd May 2020 as our heartiest appreciation as well to all our colleagues and friends in the public hospitals throughout Sabah, especially to our nearby neighbours namely Queen Elizabeth Hospital 2, Queen Elizabeth Hospital and Hospital Wanita & Kanak-kanak Likas,” added Miranda.

In recognizing the tireless efforts and commitment of our front liners, all KPJ Sabah’s staffs on duty during Labour Day received a surprise from the Management, as part of the hospital’s staff engagement initiative.

KPJ Sabah Specialist Hospital remains operational during the MCO period whereby all clinical, supportive and 24 hours emergency services are operational as usual.
