Few days after KFC Malaysia introduced its new menu fried chicken skin (crackling) , the Health Ministry’s Public Health gave its review!!
In its official Facebook Page, the admin reminded the public not to overconsume the definitely cruncy chicken part (that’s the exact reason most people get KFC, right?)
“The chicken skin has (a lot of) calories and saturated fat.”
The calories for 100 gramme of chicken skin is 435 kcal which requires you talk walk about 7 kilometres. For the same amount of chicken skin, it has 11.8 gramme of saturated fat.
Consuming too much of it will increase one’s risk to be obese, hypertension and having heart problem.
