KOTA KINABALU: Creative content provider will be producing an awareness and educational video about floods in Sabah.

Adam Shamil, 27, had met with knowledgable and experienced experts in climatology, geology and disaster management to share their insights.

Among them are UMS former director for Disaster Research Centre Professor Dr felix Tongkul; UMS deputy vice chancellor for Research and Innovation Professor Madya Dr. Ramzah Dambul; Phoenix Engineering company engineer Robert Nicholas Hii among others.

“The purpose for me to meet them is to get more knowledge on the floods issue in Sabah especially in the Penampang.

“At the same time, produce a video content for the purpose of educating, providing information and correcting the community’s perception on the isses.

“I also hope with the prodcution of this video, which is about 3-4 minutes, it will be able to convey a clear message to the authorities and communities including the immediate actions to be taken in facing the next floods.”

During last month flooding that severely hit Penampang district especially Kampung Sugud and few adjacent villages, the social media influencer had managed to raise RM223,935.72 meant for victims in Penampang and Papar.
