Kokol Ultra: Milton Amat did it again

KOTA KINABALU: Sabahan Milton Amat has once again finished first for the 50KM Men Open for the Kokol Ultra run here.

The 40-year-old runner from Kundasang clocked 5:06:50, which is 20 minutes ahead of second place Wilsen Singgin.

In less than a month ago, he defended his champion title in The Most Beautiful Thing (TMBT) Ultra-Trail Marathon in Kota Belud for the third time.

Jude Maikol, also known as Badang@’Porter Gunung, finished third with just 14 seconds difference from Wilsen’s.

The 50-kilometre category saw 111 runners starting their race at 6am and with the highest elevation at 2,230-metre above sea level.

For 50km women open category, Jassica Lintanga reached the finishing point with the time of 08:09:46 while her sister, who was just 4 minutes behind placed second. Third place is belonged to Laslin Sarawi who finished 8:40:48.
