KOTA KINABALU: Yayasan Sabah Technology College became the first Higher Education Institution to offer Rahmah Menu in the state.
Its Chief Executive Officer, Samin Ongki said, as a college wholly owned by Yayasan Sabah, they want to help those in the B40 category by providing reasonably priced food in the college cafeteria.
“The Rahmah menu was introduced at both KTYS campus canteens (Likas and Sembulan), with carefully selected and designed dishes focusing on serving nutritious, nutritious food and offered at a more reasonable price.
“The Rahmah Menu concept according to the Ministry of Domestic Trade and Cost of Living (KPDNKSH) is a balanced lunch or dinner meal including rice, a choice of protein such as chicken or fish, and vegetables offered at a reasonable price of RM5 per plate,” he said during the launching of Rahmah Menu KTYS Likas Campus, on Friday.
The introduction of the Rahmah Menu is expected to benefit a total of 700 current students and 200 KYTS staff at both campuses.
However, the KTYS canteen is also ready to accept customers from outside the campus and welcomes this effort as an initiative to help the B40 group.
