KPJ Sabah collected 121 pints of blood

Kota Kinabalu: KPJ Sabah Specialist Hospital organized its Blood Donation Campaign at its hospital lobby in aid of Queen Elizabeth Hospital II’s Transfusion Medicine and all Blood Banks throughout Sabah. 

In collaboration with Transfusion Medicine Unit of Queen Elizabeth Hospital II,  the ‘Save a Life’ Blood Donation Campaign is an annual Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program initiated by KPJ Sabah Specialist Hospital in line with its tagline ‘Care for Life’.  

The two days campaign from 26 February 2021 to 27 February 2021 attracted more than 110 donors and had successfully collected 121 pints of blood. Thus, exceeded the target of blood donation campaign. 

Among the regular donors , the People’s Volunteer Corps (RELA),  staffs and doctors of KPJ Sabah Specialist Hospital as well as new donors from the public step up towards fulfilling the objectives of this campaign. 

With full adherence to the SOPs as imposed during this Covid-19 pandemic, the Blood Bank of Queen Elizabeth Hospital II doctors and staff were working tirelessly to help the donors throughout the blood donation campaign. 

“We are indeed honored and in awe with the overwhelming support received from our generous partners and kind donors that contributed to the remarkably successful program,” added Miranda.

The successful blood donation campaign is in partnership with Bernas Padi Nasional Berhad, Sazarice Sdn Bhd, Sinar Mustika, Besta, Mr.Bread, Kupi Kupi FM and other generous donors whom wish to remain anonymous.
