KOTA KINABALU: AirAsia officially spread its “e-commerce” wings to Kota Kinabalu today.
Akin to other delivery services such as Grab and Food Panda, its airasia super app aims to offer merchants our zero listing fee policy as well as lowest commission rate of only 15 per cent on airasia food and 5 per cent on airasia fresh.
Lim Ben-Jie, Head of e-commerce for airasia super app said: “The ongoing pandemic has shifted consumer behaviour and people of Kota Kinabalu are no different.
“With 91.4 per cent internet penetration in this city, it is only apt for us to introduce airasia food and airasia fresh to Kota Kinabalu as a compelling e-commerce shopping and delivery service for consumers.”
During the launching, the super app had engaged at least 72 restaurants, 20 fresh produce merchants and 100 riders in Sabah to cover a 15 kilometres radius around the city for same day delivery services.
According to AirAsia Group CEO Tan Sri Tony Fernandes said as they know Sabah better, with their almost two-decade of airline services in the state, he assured that the riders’ welfare would be taken good care of which they would earn between RM2,000 and RM4,000 with appropriate working hours.
Both airasia food and airasia fresh are continuously expanding and interested restaurants and F&B merchants in Kota Kinabalu can register their interest by filling up this form, and they will be contacted for further details.
